Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), a service on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is a hosted platform for running and orchestrating containerized applications. Similar to Amazon’s Elastic Container Service (ECS), GKE manages Docker containers deployed on a cluster of machines.
