We’re pleased to announce that the Lumigo serverless intelligence platform now supports the Python microframework, AWS Chalice. Chalice was created by AWS to simplify the process of writing serverless apps in Python. Similar in structure to the Flask web framework, Chalice handles much of the configuration on behalf of the user, including automated IAM role policy generation.

Code for America is a nonprofit that focuses on reforming government services to make them simple, easy to use, and accessible for all Americans. Founded in 2009, the organization’s first initiative was to create fellowship programs that connected small teams of developers with city governments to solve problems in the community, such as reporting blighted properties or helping parents determine which public school is right for their child, using lightweight technology and design.

Amazon S3 is an object storage service widely used for storing many different types of data in the cloud. While it’s inexpensive and easy to set up and maintain S3 buckets, it’s also very easy to overlook S3 security aspects and expose them to malicious attacks. A typical example is accidentally allowing public access to S3 files. Several recent high-profile data breaches were caused by lax S3 security.
