BREAKING NEWS: SCOMaaS from Microsoft is coming

Before we get into it, let’s get one thing straight, by SCOMaaS, I am in no way referring to Azure Monitor here. I truly mean that the SCOM Management Groups themselves would be hosted and managed by Microsoft SaaS style! This is the biggest announcement from the SCOM Product Team at SCOMathon 2020, for this single reason – it sets the direction on the future of SCOM as a product and clearly positions it along side Azure Monitor.

What's New in Logz.io with Infrastructure Monitoring? Upgrading to Open Source Grafana 7

Logz.io Infrastructure Monitoring just got some substantive upgrades to kick off the summer. The major change is the Grafana 7 update, specifically to version 7.0.3. This includes several new features. The Logz.io deployment will also include applying Grafana to logs. The Transform tab gives users the option to quickly add non-time series data to tables and then pair it with other data (time series or not) in your Metrics deployment.

JFrog Pipelines 1.6: Overcoming CI/CD Obstacles to Scaling DevOps

Long release cycles are no longer viable in the world of software development. The promise of DevOps has been to materially shrink time to value. Like most meaningful transitions, this one hasn’t always been a simple flip of a switch. For many organizations, development teams have become complex and unwieldy. So, the custodians of DevOps have found it difficult to achieve broader adoption of DevOps principles across engineering teams.

New free Ping Tool. Ping from multiple locations all at once.

Ping is a network tool. The tool seeks out a given address over a network to check if one networked device can communicate with another device. The tool then reports on the quality of the connection based on data loss and response times. Uptrends’ new Ping Tool conducts ping tests from multiple worldwide locations at the same time. You can instantly spot localized downtime and latency issues from around the world using one simple tool.

Test on-premise applications with Datadog Synthetic private locations

Synthetic monitoring lets you improve end user experience by proactively verifying that they can complete important transactions and access key endpoints. But your applications serve many users, from customers to all the employees who run your business. This makes testing the performance of any internal-facing services within your private network just as critical as monitoring your external-facing applications.
