Things will be bigger, faster, cheaper, and better.” The reality is that a migration to the cloud can result in serious disappointment from unrealistic expectations.

While these benefits of the cloud certainly remain true in theory, realizing these benefits in practice can be increasingly difficult as applications and their networks become more complex.

Lambda is the glue that holds serverless architectures together. Before its release, most users felt it was a matter of luck as to whether AWS would let you connect a service to another.
