Sumo Logic is no different than most companies — we are in the service of our customers and we seek to build a product that they love. As we continue to refine the Sumo Logic platform, we’re also refining our feedback loops. One of those feedback loops is internal dogfooding and learning how our own internal teams such as engineering, sales engineering and customer success, experience the newest feature. However, we know that that approach can be biased.

Product Hunt is the place you'd want to announce your product on. It's a great place where potential early adopters are checking regularly to seek tools to ease tasks that need to be dealt with. In this post, I will share the PH experienced we had.

Businesses and organizations shouldn’t simply rely on monitoring tools for security management. A customer recently asked if the value that Foglight uses for email (to, cc, etc.) could be set to a different value at different times of the day. It can actually do one or the other, and with a little workaround, could do both.

I had a customer who was curious if Foglight could be used to monitor MariaDB running in Amazon RDS. This customer was already monitoring SQL Server and MongoDB with Foglight, and was eager to see if it could extend to this new MariaDB based application. While MariaDB "should" be functionally equivalent to MySQL, and given that Foglight has a cartridge for MySQL, I figured it would work, but wanted to step through it myself to make sure there were no gotcha's.
