It measures the ratio of IT equipment power to the total power consumed, encompassing all aspects of the facility’s operations, including cooling and lighting. Unlike traditional metrics, PCE provides a comprehensive assessment of how power is used within data centers, aiming to optimize the actual power capacity available.

2023 was a big year for sustainability. More and more tech teams are realizing that sustainability is not a nice to have but a strategic priority for businesses. The CSRD is a new regulation that mandates companies operating in the European Union (EU) to disclose their ESG performance and impact. This directive applies to both EU and non-EU companies, including US, Canadian and UK companies, with over 500 employees and listed on EU-regulated markets or operating in specific sectors like banking, insurance, energy, and transport.
