What are Service Accounts? Service Accounts are "headless" Cloud 66 accounts - they are like team members that cannot log into the UI. They allow you to set up automation tasks or notifications that are not bound to a real person's account.

What is CustomConfig? CustomConfig allows you to customize the configuration files used by your application's server components - in particular Nginx, HAProxy and our native database engines (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis etc).

What is Bring Your Own Image? One feature that makes very fast deployments possible is Bring Your Own Image (BYOI). Your app might rely on custom packages or use a specific version of a certain library. You can automate this process using Deploy Hooks or custom scripts, but compiling and installing these custom options every time you fire up a new instance can add a lot of time to your build and deployment process. That's where BYOI comes in.

What is tag propagation? Some cloud providers support the propagation of your Cloud 66 tags into their own tagging systems. Tag Propagation allows you to easily identify and link components between your Cloud 66 account and supported cloud provider platforms. Currently, tag propagation supports cloud servers and load balancer components.

What is Delete Protection? This feature stops specific servers from being accidentally deleted from your account. Delete Protection helps developers to prevent applications from going down and gives more control over your server mix. This includes avoiding deletion of core servers when scaling down via the API, and safeguarding servers with intentionally unique configurations ("snowflakes").

Archived Applications allows developers to "park" an application at any time. Archiving an application saves the configuration and state of your deployment, turns your servers off, and puts your application into a dormant state. Once your application is archived, you will not be able to open, edit or access it until you restore it. Servers used by this application will be turned off (deactivated) but not deleted. Please do not delete these servers, or you will not be able to restore your application. Note that you don't pay Cloud 66 for applications that are archived.
