Super-Size Your Log Searches

At SolarWinds® Papertrail™, we know that when you’re combing through lines and lines of long event messages, every pixel matters. That’s why in the new Papertrail event viewer, we introduced the ability to hide the application chrome. Hiding the application chrome, or ‘presentation mode,’ removes the header and navigation menus and maximizes your screen real estate. So far the feedback on this new option has been great.

The DevOps engineer is an important role in an organization because he or she is responsible for the success of a software project and its lifecycle. This person typically wears many hats—from software developer to managing system operations. These individuals usually have an extensive background in either software development or system administration. The DevOps engineer uses many different tools to be successful in their role.

Shift Left - Context Menu Now Easier to Find

The feedback on the new SolarWinds® Papertrail™ event viewer has been overwhelmingly positive. We’ve heard that the new event viewer is “awesome,” “sleek” and “easy to use.” We also heard, from some long-time Papertrail fans, that moving the context menu to the right side of the log lines might not have been the best choice.

SolarWinds Launches Identity Monitor to Empower IT and Security Pros with Automated Account Takeover Prevention

Cork, Ireland - October 8, 2019 - SolarWinds (NYSE:SWI), a leading provider of powerful and affordable IT management software, today announced the launch of SolarWinds® Identity Monitor. The easy-to-use solution is designed to help IT and security professionals strengthen their security posture and combat instances of account fraud, loss of revenue, brand damage, and spam by automating account takeover (ATO) prevention. This launch further underscores SolarWinds commitment to making security solutions accessible for every organisation that needs them, helping to fill a gap not met by many enterprise software vendors.

Introducing Display Preferences

While our engineering team was hard at work improving the performance of the new event viewer, our design team got to work rejuvenating the user experience. We’re excited to offer some serious upgrades and customization options. We organized our interface elements, cleaned up the mobile experience, and adopted a new header and navigation to provide a smoother transition when switching between other SolarWinds® APM products. And of course, we updated the look and feel.

Monitoring Multiple Environments Made Easy

We’re happy to announce it’s now even easier to manage multiple environments in SolarWinds® AppOptics™. Technically we’ve always had environment support through the use of global tags and support for custom EC2 tags, but AppOptics is here to help you spend less time with config files, more time for your regular job, and maybe slightly longer coffee breaks.
