JFrog Quick Tip - How to create a local repository

Dec 10, 2022

In this JFrog Quick-Tip, I show you how to create a local repository within the JFrog platform.

Local repositories are there to store your own binaries within the DevOps platform. For this purpose, the local repositories are created and then used as the target of the deployment processes. This can happen directly or via virtual repositories. The local repositories can be specified as the default deployment repo in the virtual repositories. Thus, the use for the end user is transparent. Furthermore, repositories are very lightweight in the JFrog platform as all files are de-duplicated within Artifactory. The metadata is then in the corresponding database.
