GitKraken Desktop 12.0 Release: Agent Sessions, Terminal Performance Boosts, and More!
If you're running Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini, managing multiple sessions means one terminal per agent, status checks by window-switching, and worktree setup from scratch every time.
GitKraken Desktop 12.0 adds structure to that workflow.
What's new:
- Agent Sessions panel: every active worktree is visible in one panel, no window-switching required
- New Agent Session: name the task, click Start, and GKD creates the worktree, runs your setup commands, and launches the agent
- Upgraded terminal: each worktree gets its own terminal context, files and text are draggable in for immediate agent context, and the rendering engine has been upgraded from xterm.js v4 to v6
- New AI models: Claude Sonnet 4.6, Claude Opus 4.6, and Gemini 3.1 Pro (preview) are available with your own API key
Works with Claude Code, Codex CLI, Copilot CLI, Gemini CLI, and OpenCode.
