Introducing the Kentik Network Intelligence Platform, a real time, holistic source of network truth built for modern infrastructure teams. Take the hard work out of running your network.
In leaf-spine data center networks, traffic often becomes imbalanced, leaving some uplinks idle and resulting in wasted bandwidth. Kentik helps engineers identify underutilized paths, diagnose the causes, and take corrective action using enriched telemetry, visual topology maps, and intelligent alerts, turning hidden inefficiencies into actionable insights.
By applying data engineering and machine learning to raw network telemetry, it’s possible to surface insights that would otherwise go unnoticed. Learn how this approach helps teams detect anomalies in real time, forecast capacity needs, and automate responses across complex, multi-domain environments.
Learn how to quickly identify and resolve cloud connectivity issues with Kentik’s Cloud Pathfinder. We demonstrate how Cloud Pathfinder simplifies troubleshooting by automatically mapping cloud network paths, pinpointing misconfigured security rules or incorrect routes, and providing actionable insights powered by integrated AI analysis. Reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR) and gain instant visibility into your cloud infrastructure with Kentik.
Kentik and ServiceNow are teaming up to bring network intelligence to the ServiceNow AI Platform. This integration enables ServiceNow ITOM customers, even those without deep network expertise, to answer questions about connectivity, performance, and more.
On Monday April 28, 2025, the countries of Spain and Portugal experienced a widespread electrical blackout of historic proportions. In this post, we look into the internet outages caused by the loss of power including impacts outside of the Iberian Peninsula and to Starlink service in Spain.
AI is a hot topic right now, but it’s only valuable when it drives action. The real goal is business intelligence—insight that’s timely, trustworthy, and tied to decisions that move the business forward.
Kentik's Director of Internet Analysis, Doug Madory, explores the current landscape of BGP routing security. He discusses key progress made in Route Origin Validation (ROV), common pitfalls like AS-SET nesting, and ongoing challenges faced by the networking industry. With real-world examples and detailed traffic analysis from Kentik's extensive NetFlow data, Doug shares his insights and recommendations for NetOps professionals who want to improve their routing security practices. Watch this webinar replay to learn the latest methods for securing the global internet.
An AS-SET is a special object that represents a group of ASNs and forms the basis for IRR-based route filtering. However, many AS-SETs in circulation today have grown so big that they effectively whitelist much of the routing table, rendering them ineffective. According to recent analysis, there are currently 2,192 AS-SETs which expand to over 1,000 ASNs each! In this blog post, we’ll describe what an AS-SET is, its role in route filtering, and how to deal with excessively large AS-SETs.
