PagerDuty Experiences Significant EMEA Growth
PagerDuty, the fast-growing leader in digital operations management, today announced significant growth in EMEA, with the business increasing annual recurring revenue (ARR) by over 43 percent each of the past two years.
PagerDuty's EMEA VP, Jill Brennan, said, "Organisations face hundreds of thousands of pounds of business impact from even one minute of application downtime. PagerDuty exists to enable operational teams to move fast when every second matters. Our solution, and the flexibility and integrations it offers, allow scheduled work, interrupt work, and break-fix to work smoothly so that IT teams can add value, every moment."
Gartner recently confirmed that whilst organisations are enjoying the benefits of their digital transformations, there are new challenges from the operational perspective, particularly with resilience and customer experience.
"Customers are looking to set new standards for their customer service and developer collaboration following a period of accelerated digital transformation and post-COVID investments. Incident management and customer experience are high priorities as our daily lives have become digital, remote, and critical," Jill explained.
In the five years PagerDuty has been serving customers in the UK and EMEA, it's seen customers requiring more reliable systems, and demands on technical teams increasing—including after-hours and overnight responses to issues. Many organisations have seen unprecedented change over the last two years, plus changes in labour markets and working practices, leading to an impact of inconsistent working hours on staff attrition.
- Across industries, 54% operational staff are being interrupted outside of working hours
- Teams in retail experienced the most disruption, resulting from digitisation and supply chain disruptions
- Smaller organisations are suffering more after-hours service interruptions
- And 42% customers were now working more hours in 2021 than in 2020
PagerDuty's EMEA customers include Auto Trader UK, Cambridge Cognition, Funding Circle, Geneva University Hospital, Glovo, ITV, The John Lewis Partnership, Monzo Bank, OVO Energy, Sky Betting & Gaming Solarisbank, and The Telegraph.
PagerDuty is scaling to $1 billion of revenue, driven by the enterprise need to ensure uptime and quality of service following their cloud adoption, digital acceleration, and DevOps transformations. Enterprise operations are continuous and complex, yet the operating systems most companies rely on haven't evolved in step with these new technologies.
The need for enterprises to proactively manage their digital operations from anywhere, preventing disruptions and allowing them to spend less time reacting and more time building, has driven PagerDuty's success.
Across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, PagerDuty is growing. Customers are using PagerDuty in new verticals such as customer service and security, and growth is being driven from PagerDuty's Customer Service Operations (CSOps) solution, launched two years ago, and the PagerDuty Application for Service Cloud. The former breaks down the walls between service agents and development teams, improving time to resolution and powering better customer experience. The latter provides integrated and native experience for customer service teams using Salesforce, offering teams the power to immediately drive action, engaging with experts across the organisation to speed resolutions and improve customer satisfaction.
