Icinga turned 9 in May, we’re kicking off our 10th year of spreading the #icingalove. ? OSMC 2018 Call for Papers is officially open and we are looking forward to hear your Icinga stories this year. Did you dive through distributed setups, automated everything and combined the metrics of many tools into your stack? That’s a hell of a ride, and other community members will certainly listen and learn from your expertise.
Born to be wild. We’ve been busy with bringing Elasticstack integration into full shape with the Icinga 2 feature and the corresponding Icinga Web 2 module. Both of them were thankfully funded and sponsored by VW. Elasticsearch 6 support is sponsored by a customer too, this will hit 2.9 later in June. Earlier in 2017 we’ve also released the Logstash output for Icinga.
April brought us new bugfix releases of Icinga 2 v2.8 and Icinga Web v2.5. Carsten released new versions for the Grafana module for Icinga Web 2.
We are happy to announce a new bugfix release for Icinga Web 2. Official packages are available on packages.icinga.com. Community repositories might need a while to catch up.
Today we are releasing a new support version of Icinga 2.8, a small one to pass the time until 2.9. This release includes fixes for the InfluxDB and Elasticsearch features. Please note that Elasticsearch 6 support is coming with 2.9. In addition to the fixes we’ve added support for multiple check parameters for the check_nscp_api plugin and working sysconfig/defaults variables support, you’ll also find many documentation updates.
Icinga Camp Berlin and New York were a blast – thank you everyone for joining! The archive for both is now online including slides and recordings.
After weeks of development with a lot of brainpower being invested we have finally finished the first stable release of our Graphite integration into Icinga Web 2. The new features include a searchable graphs dashboard, multi-client capability and much more – read on.
Icinga Camp Berlin is happening right now, and as promised in my talk about “Dev and ops stories: Integrations++” we are proud to bring you Dashing for Icinga 2 in its v2.0.0 release ?
Icinga is coming to Berlin for the 3rd time next week, and we are super excited to share the latest developments with you. And of course to meet again with our awesome community and have a couple of G&Ts :) If you can’t make it, our first Icinga Camp New York happens on March 16th the week after!
