Reliability is a little bit more emotional than just numbers, right? How does a customer experience remain the same and is trustworthy?
I need to make sure that the software systems that I develop are reliable, that the customer can trust them, right? If a part of the network goes down, a part of the infrastructure goes down, or a software goes down. The reliability factor should kick in in such a way that the end user must not experience a glitch. It should be seamless. There should be auto recovery, self-healing.
All of these come together to provide a reliable service back to the customer. So I think reliability is more than just uptime. It's a combination of a lot of these aspects. Providing that as an underlying principle in your software development, in your network configurations, in your telecommunication strategies, I think that is key to successful business.
