Icinga

Icinga 2.9.1 released

Icinga 2.9.0 provided many many bugfixes and one change has unfortunately been overseen. If you use an init system different to Systemd (e.g. Sysvinit) or the “-d/–daemonize” option in your containers, issue #6445 causes troubles. This is visible with logging, cluster connects, IDO database writing. Users reported problems on CentOS 6, SLES 11, Ubuntu 14, Debian 8, Gentoo (both with Sysvinit).

Icinga Monthly Snap May: OSMC 2018 CfP, product updates & user stories

Icinga turned 9 in May, we’re kicking off our 10th year of spreading the #icingalove. ? OSMC 2018 Call for Papers is officially open and we are looking forward to hear your Icinga stories this year. Did you dive through distributed setups, automated everything and combined the metrics of many tools into your stack? That’s a hell of a ride, and other community members will certainly listen and learn from your expertise.

We've come a long way together ... Icinga turns 9

Born to be wild. We’ve been busy with bringing Elasticstack integration into full shape with the Icinga 2 feature and the corresponding Icinga Web 2 module. Both of them were thankfully funded and sponsored by VW. Elasticsearch 6 support is sponsored by a customer too, this will hit 2.9 later in June. Earlier in 2017 we’ve also released the Logstash output for Icinga.

Icinga 2.8.3 released

Today we are releasing a new support version of Icinga 2.8, a small one to pass the time until 2.9. This release includes fixes for the InfluxDB and Elasticsearch features. Please note that Elasticsearch 6 support is coming with 2.9. In addition to the fixes we’ve added support for multiple check parameters for the check_nscp_api plugin and working sysconfig/defaults variables support, you’ll also find many documentation updates.
