Obviously, your workers need to have breaks, but are you able to stagger these in such a way that production continues unabated? Another option may be to bring in more automation as you know that processes can continue when they are automated. The manufacturing firms that are willing and able to embrace tech and everything that comes along with it are the ones that are most likely to achieve success.
While idleness is one potential problem you could be facing, it is even worse if you produce far too much of a particular product when you don’t need to. At the same time, you need to know who your clients are and exactly how much they are going to be buying from you. The better you know this fact, the more likely it is that overproduction can be avoided.
