You’ve probably taken an IQ test before — it’s a pretty popular thing to do these days. And I’ve noticed more and more people turning to the internet in search of a quality IQ test.

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with what Google had to offer. That’s why I decided to take matters into my own hands and put together a list of the best IQ tests I could find — yes, using Google and a bit of help from AI.

A good portion of the groundwork was already done by the site global-iq-tests.com. They’ve organized a bunch of IQ test websites by different criteria, which made things easier. I used some of their information, and added some of my own insights as well.

So, if you’re genuinely interested in taking a high-quality, engaging IQ test, this article should be both useful and interesting for you.

1. BRGHT.org

I ranked Bright first because it really stands out to me. The site is very open and transparent — and most importantly, it's completely free.

Well, almost. I have noticed that they sometimes offer paid versions for more detailed results, but overall, I really appreciate their openness and the way they approach IQ testing.

Their scoring formula doesn’t strictly follow the traditional IQ calculation — it’s more of an absolute scale rather than a relative one. Still, the test itself is quite interesting and reasonably challenging.

So, if you're looking to stretch your brain and give it a proper workout, Bright does a great job of keeping things both engaging and mentally stimulating.

2. Psychology Today

Psychology Today is essentially a massive resource in the field of psychology, so it's generally considered trustworthy.

However, in reality, their IQ test feels a bit basic and doesn’t deliver particularly high-quality results.

Still, thanks to the site’s strong reputation and authority, I believe it fairly earns the second spot on the list.

3. IQ-Global-Test.com

IQ Global Test is the first paid IQ test I’ve included in this ranking. It earned its spot because the website looks clean, modern, and overall very user-friendly.

If you're willing to pay for your results, they offer a fairly engaging and thoughtfully designed test. It's not perfect — but then again, I don't think a perfect IQ test actually exists. That idea probably only lives in our heads.

Still, if you're okay with the price tag, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try.

4. Fun Education

Fun Education offers a free IQ test — and honestly, the name says it all. It's more about learning and self-improvement than serious assessment.

It’s a great option if you want to challenge yourself a bit without wasting time on mindless games.

I recommend taking tests like this every now and then — it’s a fun and productive way to stay sharp.

5. 123test.com

123test kept showing up at the top of Google search results, which is what initially caught my attention.

To be honest, the test itself feels pretty outdated — and it’s hard to justify paying for it, considering its design and overall user experience. Yes, it’s a paid test.

However, it clearly has strong traffic and a large user base, which gives it a certain level of credibility. The results aren’t bad either, even if they’re not the best out there.

That’s why I placed it fifth — not because of the test quality itself, but because of its visibility and authority on Google.
