We Redesigned the SigNoz Trace View for Million-Span Traces

A quick walkthrough of SigNoz Cloud's new trace detail view, with a flame graph that renders 100,000 spans in a single load.

AI and agent workloads are producing traces with much higher span counts. We rebuilt the trace detail view in SigNoz Cloud to make investigating large traces faster.

Here's what's new:

  • A flame graph that renders 100,000 spans in a single load
  • A waterfall that lists every span, now loading faster with 75% fewer memory allocations
  • One-click error highlighting to quickly surface failing spans
  • One-click filters for database calls, functions, HTTP requests, jobs, and LLM spans
  • Search across span attributes to quickly narrow down large traces
  • A cleaner, dockable span details panel with structured and raw JSON views
